Publication of the Proceedings of “Ethics and Market Economy”

The “moralization of capitalism” is the agenda, and everyone emphasizes on the moral dimension, not just technical, of the current crisis. But this is actually a subject as old as mankind itself: a classical subject, and yet constantly renewed from philosophers, economists, but also theologians, who study the relationship between ethics and economics, and the morality or immorality of economic actions: how economic rules deal with the problem of evil? Is the spontaneous order of market sufficient to ensure moral behavior? The lawyers also have their say, can the rule of law contribute to the moralization economic behavior? These are some of the issues addressed by this book, in a resolutely multidisciplinary approach.
